For your little disciple: When do you like to listen to music? Do you like to make music when you are happy? Psalm 100 tells us to make a joyful noise to the Lord and to praise His name. When the angels heard about the birth of Jesus, they rejoiced and shared the good news with the shepherds through song. God is good and He deserves our praise. Whenever we feel so happy we could dance and sing, we should remember that our joy comes from the Lord!

Deep Dive

Worship is essential part of the Christian lifestyle. Humans are made to worship! If you are not worshipping the Lord, you are certainly worshipping something else in your life.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Psalm 150:6

Music and worship are part of our nature – creation worships the Lord with its very existence.

The Most Beautiful Sound

One of my favorite sounds in the whole world is my two-year-old singing Praise the Lord at the top of her lungs, with passion and seriously off key. After hearing this song once, she was hooked. She lifts her hands, and will sing with her whole heart any time of day. Honestly, if your toddler is having big emotions, try getting them to turn to worship and see if it impacts their mood. Worship has a profound effect on humans and there is something to be said for the difference it can have on your children when implemented as a part of everyday life. Letting worship become a healthy habit that is turned to in times of happiness or trouble is such a beautiful act of love. Share worship with your child and let them minister to you as they give their all to the Lord through music.
